Kicking and Screaming in Medina

Yesterday, I had the solid chance of meeting up with my contact, Tom Tuner, in the small town of Medina. I took footage at sporting facility called Pinnacle. Luckily, I was early enough to capture footage of young players, some of the best I have seen, in action. There were boys and girls of various ages from 4 -18 years. The level of intensity and variety of exercises varied with the age groups. The pattern was sporadic. In some cases the younger players ( 4-7yrs) seemed to train harder than their elder brothers and sisters in the (13-16) bracket. According to my observation, it was a result of different coaching styles. Anyway, this is was sufficient data that will help me later in the presentation process.

Towards the end of the night, I filmed the boys travel team, known as the Internationals. The coach kept them on their feet and although there was not much technical work being done the group showed general game intelligence and awareness. Generally I had easier task with them because their game was more organized than the younger kids training sessions were.

Today, I will be sorting out data, I have about 5 hours of film to edit! Yeah, I am not thrilled by but thats the plan for today.
