May 11th- Friday
I must admit today was a rather easy day. I came in and jumped right into the pizza sale. However, since lunch goes in intervals, I only had to help with the lunch rotations for maybe about 5 minutes each and then got to hang out at the office for 20 minutes each time. I tried writing my blog posts but the internet wasn't cooperating so I wasn't really productive. The time flew by and I noticed it was already 2:15. I went off to my only class this day and graded some papers and homework that the students had written while they were watching Ugly Duckling. After, I went to the lounge to have my late lunch and came back only to Youth Core. At Youth Core, I stayed later than usual because of a spelling bee and a family fair we had today. I helped organize the groups of kids participating and moved some of the furniture and the equipment around. Once everything was set up, I made sure all of the kids were in place and the events began. After the spelling bee, they were a series of rotating fun activities including sports and arcade games which all the groups went through. As staff, I chaperoned a group of kids throughout the series of events. After, we had some light meals and refreshments before I went home at around 7.
