A Pretty Slow Week
Our second week at the conservancy was pretty slow. Sara, Julia, and I weren't there on Monday because of APs, so on Tuesday we went to do another Garlic Mustard pull, which by now, I think that I'm permanently scarred from the little plant. On Wednesday, Sara and I helped an employee out at the Conservancy Discovery Day for Grand Valley Schools. This basically just consisted of us handing some papers and bookmarks out to the little fifth and sixth graders, while Scott Hill talked to them about the native animals and the WRLC. Yesterday we went out to some land that the WRLC looks after a few miles east of Gates Mills to do some monitoring visits. Essentially, during this visits you just walk around the property to make sure the current owners haven't violated any agreements. We hiked around the huge property and had the opportunity to see an amazing-looking gorge and the some awesome views of the Cuyahoga River. And to finish off the week, we just worked on some of the same marketing projects that we have been working on for the past two weeks.
