more fun

Today I lost my morning to the AB Calc exam.  After that, though, I continued with storyboarding.  I spent some real time thinking about how my shots work together as a varied and interesting whole, so I ended up writing a shot list for all the remaining shots to be storyboarded for my film.  A shot list is essentially a verbal summary of the visual components of each shot.  It's a lot quicker than doing a good job drawing or taking a still, for example.  The shot list gives me an exact sense of which shot is a close-up, which is a high angle, which has a pan, which has a tracking movement, etc.  I'll be finishing up storyboarding tomorrow, then moving onto the next step: doing uber-precise work categorizing every sound that comes out of my voice actors' mouths.
